"UNFINISHED ELIXIR"
Sometimes as poison
Sometimes as philter
Sometimes as panacea
"Elixir" is the denomination of medicines that are used for alchemy.
Its origin is based on a fundamental notion and exists as if it urges
its prosperity.
The aim is to let us realize the "life," and also, to let us keep and
fulfill our hidden ideal and desire inside ourselves, not expose.
Doing wall paint is just like the concept above.
It is an open behavior and a closed one at the same time.
I do feel this sense while I create, rather than finishing it.
It is like a continuous pleasure as if I jump over the endless border.
This experience never disappears even after the wall is painted white
again, rather getting purified.
There is a custom called "Hibutsu" in Japan.
It has variety of styles, one of them is the custom that a monk is allowed
to show the image of Buddha of the temple he belongs to, only once during
he reigns.
That is to say, the chance we can see it is approximately once every
80 years, which means once in a human's life.
The image of Buddha is never exposed even in a photo.
Today, we are used to information redundancy and paralyzed with hidden,
intangible things.
As a result, we rarely experience the similar situations to "Hibutsu".
It is not welcomed however, to lose the chances to face those experiences.
I do not intend to deny saving or recording things, yet if I always
rely on the tangible things, I might be unstable.
